Drying, Disinfecting & De-humidification

As part of the Emergency Response for a Flood & Sewage Damage, remaining building materials must be properly disinfected and dried to an acceptable standard of moisture content for each type of material. Timing is critical after water damage occurs to avoid secondary damage.

Our Project Managers are well-trained in Psychometrics and best practices for drying. Our Technicians follow the industry standard for Water Damage Restoration known as the S500 managed by the IICRC (see ASIR Certifications).

Monitoring of the drying process occurs daily by our Project Managers to ensure remaining building materials’ moisture content falls within an acceptable range.

ASIR performs the following services.

  • Moisture Detection using Non-Invasive Meters (i.e. Infrared Camera) and Invasive Meters (i.e. shallow or deep plunge moisture meters)
  • Extraction and Disposal of Standing Water
  • Disinfection of Building Materials from Bacteria, Viruses, Fungus, Parasites.
  • Structural Drying
  • Odour Removal
  • Contents Cleaning, Disinfecting and Drying
