Flood & Sewage Damage
The severity of the water damage is classified under three (3) categories depending on the source of water.
Category 1: Referred to as ‘Clear Water’ originating from a source of water that does not threaten human health.
Category 2: Referred to as ‘Grey Water’ originating from a source of water that contains significant biological, chemical and/or physical contaminants that can threaten human health and damage property.
Category 3: Referred to as ‘Black Water’ originating from a source of water that contains very significant biological, chemical and/or physical contaminants that can threaten human health and damage property. A strong odour and methane gas presence is usually present that can harm human health.
Mould Damage occurs frequently after 72 hours from a water damage disaster. Time is critical in the aftermath of such a disaster. Response time is critical to ensure that no mould growth develops to threaten the indoor air quality of your home.
When water damage occurs at your property, you are worried for the health and safety of your family. Especially if children, seniors or people living with weakened/compromised immune systems are living with you in the same house. The symptoms could range from mild to acute depending on the severity and classification of the water loss.
ASIR understands your needs and concerns as our technicians are professionally trained in flood and sewage restoration without placing your family at further risk. Our Project Manager will perform an assessment of the situation and establish a mitigation plan. This mitigation plan will be explained clearly to you before any work commences.
ASIR maintains specialized water damage vehicles which provide extraction of standing water (i.e. clear, grey or black), environment-friendly storage and disposal, disinfection chemicals and drying equipment. ASIR strives to mitigate the water damage within hours to allow you safe and healthy access to your home.
After the completion of the mitigation, our Project Manager will forward the rebuild plan which outlines materials, labour and costs required to rebuild your home. All stakeholders, including insurance adjusters and/or strata insurance adjusters, are required to authorize the rebuild plan prior to any work commencing.
ASIR is accountable to you that the mitigation and rebuild are performed to a professional standard.
